Regional Outbreaks of Severe Weather Through Early Next Week; Early Season Heat Wave across the South

Active spring pattern across the center of our nation with several episodes of severe weather and heavy rainfall expected into next week. The potential for very large hail, long track tornadoes, severe wind gusts, frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes and flash flooding are in the outlook. This just in: More virtual spotter training classes have been announced for August of 2022, due to continued requests. These classes will be virtual using Google Meet. Unfortunately, we were not able to arrange any in person classes at this time. If you are interested, you can sign up using this form: https://forms.gle/makXBt56dAdSWoi88.

Here are the dates (ALL VIRTUAL THROUGH GOOGLE MEET):

1. Friday, August 19: 10 am – 12 pm (noon) MDT.

2. Friday, August 26: 10 am – 12 pm (noon) MDT.

A link to the Google Meet spotter training will be sent to those who register closer to the class date.
