Heavy Rain and Flash Flooding in the West; Heat Expands in the Central U.S.

Monsoonal moisture will produce showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain over parts of the Southwest, Great Basin, and Central Rockies through Monday. Flash flooding is possible, especially in and around burn scars and in areas of steep terrain. This just in: More virtual spotter training classes have been announced for August of 2022, due to continued requests. These classes will be virtual using Google Meet. Here are the dates (ALL VIRTUAL THROUGH GOOGLE MEET):

1. Friday, August 19: 10 am – 12 pm (noon) MDT.

2. Friday, August 26: 10 am – 12 pm (noon) MDT.

A link to the Google Meet spotter training will be sent to those who register closer to the class date.
