
An atmospheric river will bring heavy rainfall to lower elevations of California this week, and heavy snow to the Sierra Nevada mountains. Flash flooding, some of which may be locally considerable, will be a concern on the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains through Tuesday. This just in: More virtual spotter training classes have been announced for August of 2022, due to continued requests. These classes will be virtual using Google Meet. Unfortunately, we were not able to arrange any in person classes at this time. If you are interested, you can sign up using this form: https://forms.gle/makXBt56dAdSWoi88.
Here are the dates (ALL VIRTUAL THROUGH GOOGLE MEET):
1. Friday, August 19: 10 am – 12 pm (noon) MDT.
2. Friday, August 26: 10 am – 12 pm (noon) MDT.
A link to the Google Meet spotter training will be sent to those who register closer to the class date.
