Prolonged Atmospheric River Will Impact the Northwest Early this Week

A weather system in the Pacific Northwest will produce rain throughout the day, before a potent atmospheric river produces a prolonged round of heavy rainfall, widespread urban and river flooding, and high elevation snow to the region Monday through Wednesday. Smoke Forecast Over Utah and Colorado

Smoky conditions will continue over portions of western Colorado and over northeast Utah. Below is a forecast of the expected drift of smoke plumes through tomorrow. Above normal temperatures will remain in place but relief may be on the way as moisture increases over the next few days and afternoon showers and thunderstorms increase.
