Heavy Rain and Flash Flooding in the West; Heat Expands in the Central U.S.

Monsoonal moisture will produce showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain over parts of the Southwest, Great Basin, and Central Rockies through Monday. Flash flooding is possible, especially in and around burn scars and in areas of steep terrain. The Spring season tends to be a wild ride most of the time with a mix of everything from snow to rain and hot to cold. That is evident in our Easter Climatology where some years have brought nearly 90-degree temperatures and others have ended with over 8 inches of snow!
