Back-to-Back Pacific Storms to Impact the West Coast; Heavy Snow in the Central Appalachians

Back-to-back powerful Pacific storm systems to impact the Pacific Northwest and northern California through the end of this week with heavy rain, flooding, strong winds, and higher elevation mountain snow. Red Flag Warning This Afternoon and Evening in Northwest Colorado and Northeast Utah

A trough will pass through the Northern Rockies this afternoon and tonight causing northwest winds to increase today over northwest Colorado and northeast Utah. These winds will combine with already hot and dry conditions, as well as very dry fuels, to produce critical fire weather over much of northern Colorado and Utah. A Red Flag Warning is in effect from Noon until 8 PM MDT today.
