A coastal storm continues to bring heavy rain, coastal flooding, high surf, dangerous rip currents, and gusty winds to the East Coast into early Tuesday. A heavy rain and flash flood risk continues for the Southwest/Four Corners region with lingering tropical moisture through Monday. Overview

Scattered thunderstorms developed in the late afternoon and evening hours on 6 August in southwest Kansas. Microbursts blew down power poles, irrigation systems and damaged structures south of the Woods community. Here is a link to damage survey information.
