A frontal boundary and increasing moisture are forecast to increase rain chances for Deep South Texas beginning on Saturday. Rain totals up to 1-2 inches are forecast this weekend, which may result in minor flooding of low-lying or poor drainage areas.

There is a Marginal (level 1 of 4) Risk of Excessive Rainfall Saturday into Sunday. The main threats are heavy rain and potential flash flooding. Early total rainfall estimates of around 1 to locally 2 inches are expected.

Pleasant conditions at the local beaches, but with a MODERATE RISK of rip currents in the surf zone.

Very low chances for rain are expected for the rest of the week, however this weekend chances for rain do greatly increase.
