Slow moving, heavy rainfall over the coming days will lead to increased risk for flash flooding across deep south Texas. We currently anticipate that most areas are likely to receive 5-10 inches of rain Monday through Wednesday, with localized amounts up to 12+ inches. Today, all of deep south Texas, and tomorrow, most of deep south Texas is under a MODERATE risk (Level 3 of 4) of excessive rainfall when NUMEROUS FLASH FLOODS are LIKELY. Tuesday and Wednesday, portions of deep south Texas are within a Slight Risk (level 2 of 4) of scattered flash flooding, and Wednesday there is a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 4) of isolated flash flooding.
