A Heat Advisory is in effect for Coastal Kenedy, Coastal Willacy, Coastal Cameron, Inland Kenedy, Inland Willacy, Inland Cameron, Southern Hidalgo and Starr Counties from 11 AM until 6 PM Today. Heat Index values up to 115 degrees is expected.

There is an Extreme Heat Risk across much of Rio Grande Valley and Deep South Texas today with a Major Heat Risk near the coast. If spending time outdoors be sure to stay hydrated and practice heat safety. Visit weather.gov/heat for heat safety tips and resources.
