Patchy dense fog is expected to develop through 9 AM this morning, mainly in low-lying areas. If traveling this morning, slow down and use low beams due to the low visibility less than 1 mile.
Scattered showers and storms are gradually weakening over central Kansas as they track into northeast Kansas after sunrise. Isolated redevelopment of storms cannot be ruled out this afternoon, most likely occurring just east of the forecast area. If storms develop, severe wind gusts and heavy rainfall are possible. The heat ramps up Sunday - Tuesday with heat indices from 100 to 110 each afternoon. An Extreme Heat Watch has been issued for the entire forecast area during this period.
