A strong atmospheric river will continue to impact northern California with heavy rain and life-threatening flooding through Friday. A vigorous area of low pressure pushed into the central plains Saturday afternoon May 29th. Severe thunderstorms quickly became tornadic well ahead of a dryline stretched across south central Nebraska and central Kansas. WFO Topeka received numerous reports of severe weather, a summary can be found here. The reports received here were just part of a very active severe weather outbreak.
