Severe Weather and Flash Flooding Threat Continues in the Central and Southern Plains; Heavy Mountain Snow in the Intermountain West

Heavy rain and severe weather will continue across the central and southern Plains through the weekend. Tornadoes, large hail, damaging winds and flash flooding will be the primary threats. THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS TRANSMITTED AT THE REQUEST OF THE OMAHA
PUBLIC POWER DISTRICT.

THE OMAHA PUBLIC POWER DISTRICT REPORTS THAT FIVE SIRENS IN 
POTTAWATTAMIE COUNTY IOWA HAD SOUNDED FOR LESS THAN ONE MINUTE
AROUND 730 AM. OPPD ADVISES THAT THERE IS NO EMERGENCY AT FORT 
CALHOUN STATION.

THE INADVERTENT SOUNDING IS THE RESULT OF A TESTING ERROR.

THE TEST WAS CANCELED.  

WE REPEAT OPPD ADVISES THERE IS NO EMERGENCY AT FORT CALHOUN STATION 
AND THE PUBLIC SHOULD DISREGARD THE INADVERTENT SIREN SOUNDING IN
POTTAWATTAMIE COUNTY IOWA.
