Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Spotter Training Cancellations

Out of an abundance of caution and to assure public safety, the following Spotter Training events have been cancelled.

The National Weather Service will be looking at dates and times for rescheduling these sessions.

Cancellations Include:

Lagrange County - 3/12
Elkhart County - 3/17
LaPorte County - 3/24
Whitley County - 3/25

This is in coordination with efforts to mitigate potential impacts of COVID-19. We will be evaluating the situation over the next several weeks.
