Regional Outbreaks of Severe Weather Through Early Next Week; Early Season Heat Wave across the South

Active spring pattern across the center of our nation with several episodes of severe weather and heavy rainfall expected into next week. The potential for very large hail, long track tornadoes, severe wind gusts, frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes and flash flooding are in the outlook. Spotter Training Cancellations

Out of an abundance of caution and to assure public safety, the following Spotter Training events have been cancelled.

The National Weather Service will be looking at dates and times for rescheduling these sessions.

Cancellations Include:

Lagrange County - 3/12
Elkhart County - 3/17
LaPorte County - 3/24
Whitley County - 3/25

This is in coordination with efforts to mitigate potential impacts of COVID-19. We will be evaluating the situation over the next several weeks.
