Heavy rainfall from scattered thunderstorms is expected across the Southwest, Intermountain West, and Plains. Isolated dry thunderstorms may initiate additional fires across the west. The coastal Carolinas may experience flash floods in the coming days due to repeated thunderstorms. Out of an abundance of caution and to assure public safety, the following Spotter Training events have been cancelled.
The National Weather Service will be looking at dates and times for rescheduling these sessions.
This is in coordination with efforts to mitigate potential impacts of COVID-19. We will be evaluating the situation over the next several weeks.
