Strong Bering Storm Impacting Portions of Alaska; Critical Fire Weather Conditions in the Great Basin and Northern Rockies

A strong Bering Sea storm will continue to impact the Aleutian Islands and parts of southwestern Alaska through Friday. High Wind Warnings have been issued for the entire Aleutian Island chain. A High Wind Warning is in effect for all of northeast Montana from midnight Friday night through 9pm Saturday. West winds 25-40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph could develop in the late evening and early morning. These winds will last into the evening hours Saturday.
