Dry conditions through tonight give way to a band of precipitation that moves in Wednesday morning. This is likely to fall as snow and a wintry mix north of I-69, and may lead to slick travel conditions before a changeover to all rain during the day.

There is an Enhanced Risk for severe weather over parts of Southeast Michigan on Wednesday. Damaging wind and heavy rainfall will be the main threats along with a risk of tornadoes. Stay weather aware and monitor for forecast updates.

Thunderstorms on Wednesday will be capable of producing heavy rain and parts of Southeast Michigan are highlighted within a Slight Risk for excessive rainfall. Storm total rainfall through Thursday morning is forecast between 1 and 2 inches, but locally higher amounts will be possible.

A gale watch is in effect for Lake Huron Wednesday.
