...ICE FORMING ON MISSOURI RIVER...

Due to the recent cold weather, ice floes are forming on the
Missouri River and passing through the Bismarck and Mandan area.
As of yet there are no impacts to river stage, however as ice
starts to accumulate south of Bismarck and Mandan, rapidly
rising water levels are expected. During initial icing over of the
Missouri River between Burleigh and Morton counties, water levels
can rise between four and seven feet within 24 hours.

Given the cold weather in the upcoming days, the Missouri River
near Mandan and Bismarck is likely to ice over by late in the
week.
