Widespread rain returns to the area tonight into Wednesday. Here is the updated storm total rain forecast between 11 PM tonight (Tuesday) and 5 PM Thursday. The heaviest rain will be Wednesday morning and afternoon and focused in Del Norte and northern Humboldt Counties, with much lighter rain likely in southern Mendocino & Lake Counties. Lingering showers continue through Thursday.
