* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 6
  inches above 7000 feet....6 to 14 inches above 8000 feet...and 14
  to 24 inches above 10000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Eastern Sierra Slopes.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM PST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels will fall to around 6000 feet
  today. Most snow accumulations at elevations below 8000 feet will
  occur today into Monday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use
extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations up to 18 inches.

* WHERE...A portion of central California.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM PST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult
  to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday
  morning commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for
the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

Persons should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden
changes in visibility. Leave plenty of room between you and the
motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your
destination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be especially
cautious on hills or when making turns. Make sure your car is
winterized and in good working order.

  for communities along Highway 395 with up to 8 inches of snow
  between 7000 and 8000 feet. Wind gusts of 25 to 35 mph with
  ridgetop winds gusting over 50 mph at times.

* WHERE...Mono County.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM PST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
  hazardous conditions will impact weekend travel and the Monday
  morning commute in and across the Sierra. Strong winds could cause
  damage to trees and power lines.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by moderate rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of Southwest California, including the mountains
  of western San Bernardino County.

* WHEN...Until 916 PM PST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding and debris flows in low-lying and poor
  drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 718 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
    flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
    advisory area. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Fontana, Rialto, northern Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, Hwy 138
    Between I-15 And Hwy 2 and San Antonio Heights.
  - This includes areas near the Bridge burn scar, which may see
    minor debris flows.

    are possible, especially near mountains or canyon roadways as
    well as recent burn scars. Radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain with rainfall rates of 0.25 to 0.5
    inches per hour with locally up to 0.75 inch per hour
    possible.

    Downtown Los Angeles, Long Beach, Malibu, Acton, Wrightwood,
    Burbank, Pasadena, Van Nuys, Beverly Hills, Alhambra, Encino,

...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents and breaking waves due to
  elevated surf expected. Minor coastal flooding due to
  abnormally high tides between 7.0 and 7.5 feet and gusty
  southerly winds.

* WHERE...Catalina and Santa Barbara Islands, Santa Barbara
  County Southwestern Coast, Santa Barbara County Southeastern
  Coast, Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches.

* WHEN...Through Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...Pooling of sea water is possible around high tide at
  beach and harbor areas that is uncommon with normal tidal
  ranges. Enhanced beach erosion is also possible. No
  significant damage is expected. There is an increased risk of
  ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out
  to sea. Waves can wash people off beaches and rocks, and
  capsize small boats nearshore.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Peak high tides are expected between 8am
  and 11 am. Surf is expected to build and peak during the
  afternoon hours today.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain out of the water due to hazardous swimming conditions, or
stay near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly
in such conditions, stay off the rocks.

...A LINE OF STRONG SHOWERS AND POSSIBLE THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST
CENTRAL LOS ANGELES COUNTY THROUGH 900 PM PST...

At 807 PM PST, Doppler radar was tracking a lines of strong showers
possible thunderstorms across the eastern San Gabriel Valley extending
from Whittier to Glendora. Storms were moving northeast at 20
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. Cannot rule out a
         brief, weak tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.
