...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WEST CENTRAL BREWSTER COUNTY
THROUGH 545 PM CDT...
At 506 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 26
miles northwest of Persimmon Gap, or 38 miles south of Alpine, moving
east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Santiago Peak.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.
.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.
Thunderstorms are expected to develop tonight and increase in
coverage after midnight. Locations in the far southern Texas
Panhandle and adjacent areas of the South Plains and Rolling Plains
have the greatest chance of seeing some severe thunderstorms
overnight along with localized flash flooding. Large hail to golf
balls and wind gusts to 60 mph will be possible with the strongest
storms.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Severe thunderstorms will be possible across portions of the Caprock
and Rolling Plains Thursday afternoon and evening. Storms that do
form Thursday afternoon will be capable of producing extremely large
hail in excess of baseball size, damaging winds near 70 mph, and
tornadoes. Storms will also produce heavy rainfall, resulting in the
potential for flash flooding.
Severe thunderstorm chances return each afternoon and evening Friday
through early next week.
