.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

west of Highway 65.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

...HIGHER-END SEVERE WEATHER POTENTIAL TODAY AND WEDNESDAY...

This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
TORNADO.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Northeast Oklahoma.
ONSET...Late Afternoon or Early Evening.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM.
RISK...Elevated.
AREA...Northeast Oklahoma.
ONSET...Late Afternoon.

HEAVY RAIN.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Northeast Oklahoma.
ONSET...Late Afternoon.

SIGNIFICANT WINDS.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Western Arkansas.
ONSET...Mid-Morning.

FIRE WEATHER DANGER.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...North and West of Tulsa.
ONSET...This Afternoon.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop along a dryline
this afternoon across north-central Oklahoma and then quickly
move into northeast Oklahoma by the late afternoon and early
evening. The strongly sheared and unstable environment will
support longer-lived rotating storms and the potential for
higher-end severe weather in the form of very large hail, locally
damaging wind gusts and tornadoes. Storms will be capable of
producing locally heavy rainfall as well.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Activation of the Regional Spotter Network Likely.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
WEDNESDAY...Severe Thunderstorm...High Wind Potential.
THURSDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
FRIDAY...Severe Thunderstorm...High Wind Potential.
SATURDAY...High Wind Potential.
SUNDAY and MONDAY...No Hazards.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...

Numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop over the region
Wednesday afternoon ahead of an advancing upper wave and surface
boundary. Once again, these storms will be developing in a
strongly sheared and unstable environment and will be capable of
producing higher-end severe weather and locally heavy rainfall.
With this round of storms, more of eastern Oklahoma and northwest
Arkansas could be impacted from these storms. This round of severe
weather should wane by Thursday morning, with a relatively quiet
day expected for Thursday.

Another strong upper storm system and cold front will approach the
region Friday. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop
across northern Oklahoma Friday afternoon and will have a good
chance of becoming severe along with locally heavy rainfall. With
this round of storms, northeast Oklahoma stands the best chance of
being impacted by severe weather. The strong cold front will sweep
across the region Friday night, and some thunderstorms will likely
also accompany the front. While these storms will have some
potential to produce severe weather, mainly in the form of
damaging wind, the severe threat will not be as high as the
initial storms. This threat will be greatest across northeast
Oklahoma into northwest Arkansas. The severe weather threat will
end with the passage of the cold front for the entire area by
Saturday morning.
