Osage River at Taberville affecting Vernon and St. Clair Counties.
For the Osage River...including Taberville...Minor flooding is
forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Osage River at Taberville.
* WHEN...Until just after midnight tonight.
* IMPACTS...At 23.3 feet, The handicapped access to the Osage River
launch near Taberville floods.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 23.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 23.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 6:45 AM CDT Thursday was 23.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
this evening and continue falling to 15.6 feet Tuesday
morning.
- Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
23.3 feet on 05/03/2016.

much of Eastern Oklahoma.

AREA...Primarily Northeast Oklahoma.
ONSET...Through mid evening.
DISCUSSION...
Scattered thunderstorm will continue from southeast Oklahoma through
northwest Arkansas until the mid evening hours. These storms may
produce locally gusty winds and periods of heavy rainfall but
severe weather is unlikely. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms may
also develop across portions of northeast Oklahoma near the Oklahoma
Kansas border. These storms will have a limited risk of severe
weather through the mid evening hours.

Local Spotter Activation May Be Needed.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
FRIDAY and SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
SUNDAY...Thunderstorm and Heavy Rain Potential.
MONDAY and TUESDAY...Thunderstorm and Dangerous Heat Potential.
WEDNESDAY...Dangerous Heat Potential.
EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Daily thunderstorm chances continue Friday through next Tuesday
with the highest chances being Saturday through Monday. Locally
heavy rainfall is likely this weekend and flooding concerns may
develop. Severe weather potential may increase slightly over
the weekend with later forecasts refining timing and coverage
details. Temperatures will trend hotter early next week and
heat index values of 100 to 105 degrees are currently forecast
for early next week across much of the region.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Kansas,
east central Kansas, south central Kansas and southeast Kansas.
.DAY ONE...Tonight
Isolated to scattered storms will be possible into the early evening
hours, mainly across south central Kansas into the Flint Hills. The
stronger storms will be capable of hail up to dime size, 50 to 60
mph downburst winds along with heavy rainfall.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday
Thunderstorm chances will return for Saturday evening through
Sunday. The main hazards through this time frame will be heavy
rainfall and downburst winds.
Additional thunderstorm chances will return for Monday into Monday
night.
Heat indices between 100 and 105 are expected for both Tuesday and
Wednesday across southern and southeast Kansas.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Kansas,
east central Kansas, north central Kansas, and northeast Kansas.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight
Showers and thunderstorms are expected across the area this
afternoon and into the evening. Rounds of showers and storms
producing 1-2" per hour rainfall rates could lead to flooding,
mainly north of Interstate 70. A Flood Watch remains in effect for
this area into early Friday.
A few severe thunderstorms are also possible this afternoon and
evening across the area. Damaging winds, hail up to quarter size, and a
tornado or two are possible.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday
A few strong to severe storms are possible Friday evening and
Friday night across northern Kansas. Storms could produce locally
heavy rainfall as well.
