Osage River at Taberville affecting St. Clair and Vernon Counties.
For the Osage River...including Taberville...Minor flooding is
forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Osage River at Taberville.
* WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening.
* IMPACTS...At 23.3 feet, The handicapped access to the Osage River
launch near Taberville floods.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 23.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 23.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:45 AM CDT Wednesday was 23.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.2
feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
tomorrow afternoon.
- Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
23.2 feet on 06/21/2013.

DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are ongoing across portions of
eastern Oklahoma this afternoon and will continue through the evening.
Thunderstorm chances are expected to remain very low through the late
night hours. Severe weather is not expected, however locally heavy
rainfall and related flooding concerns will be the primary hazard
through the evening.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Daily thunderstorm chances will continue through the weekend and into
early next week. Locally heavy rainfall will remain a concern especially
late in the weekend into early next week. A limited severe weather
potential may also develop this weekend into early next week as winds aloft
strengthen.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Kansas,
east central Kansas, south central Kansas and southeast Kansas.
.DAY ONE...Tonight
Isolated to scattered storms are expected this evening with the
better storm coverage over western Kansas. Any storm that develops
this evening will have the potential to produce 50 mph downburst
winds along with heavy rainfall.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday
Scattered storms will be possible Thursday with smaller storm
chances for Friday and during the day Saturday. Storm chances will
then increase for Saturday night through Sunday. The main hazards
through this time frame will be heavy rainfall and downburst winds.
