This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

SIGNIFICANT WINDS.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Higher Terrain in southeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.
TIMING...Ongoing through Midday.

DISCUSSION...
Gusty northwesterly winds from 25 to 30 mph will continue through
the morning hours in the higher terrain of southeast Oklahoma and
northwest Arkansas. Expect a decreasing trend toward midday,
continuing into the afternoon.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
THURSDAY...No Hazards.
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...High Wind Potential.
SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...Winter Weather Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Thunderstorm chances increase in association with a weekend storm
system. In addition to the lightning potential, widespread rain
could lead to the development of a locally heavy rain threat
Saturday. The highest rainfall totals and risk for excessive
rainfall currently focus across far southeast Oklahoma and into
parts of western Arkansas.

Colder air will follow the front that is associated with the
weekend storm system. Depending on the track and strength of
another system early next week, wintry precipitation and impacts
may occur. Enough spread in the available data exists at this
range to make details, such as amounts, location and timing, very
uncertain. Currently, a 5 to 10 percent chance for minor winter
weather impacts exists across mainly northern portions of the area
Sunday night into Tuesday.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLANNING STATEMENT...
With potential for winter precipitation immediately following the
holiday weekend, keep checking the latest forecast information.
Expect details to be refined with time.
