* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures of 25 to 32 expected.

* WHERE...Shoshone/Lava Beds, Arco/Mud Lake Desert, Lower Snake
  River Plain, and Upper Snake River Plain.

* WHEN...For the Freeze Warning, until 9 AM MDT this morning. For
  the Freeze Watch, from late tonight through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
  sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
  plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM MDT THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Total snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches. Locally
  higher amounts are possible at the peaks.

* WHERE...Sierra Madre Range and Snowy Range.

* WHEN...Until 3 PM MDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Outdoor recreation could become dangerous to those
  caught unprepared for hazardous winter conditions. Hunters,
  hikers, and snowmobilers may become disoriented and lost due to
  low visibility in falling and blowing snow.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A break in snowfall is expected through the
  morning with another wave of snowfall this afternoon through 3 PM
  Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road
conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Colorado, southwest
Colorado, west central Colorado, east central Utah, northeast Utah
and southeast Utah.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Accumulating snow will be possible over the northern mountains and
travel corridors. Icy to snowpacked conditions are most likely to
occur through the mid morning with most roads melting snow as it
falls through the afternoon. Isolated to widely scattered
thunderstorm development is possible this afternoon with small hail
and lightning the main threats.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Unsettled, cooler, and wetter weather continues through the week and
into the weekend as a series of systems work through the
Intermountain West and Rockies. Winter driving conditions will be
possible at times...mainly during the overnight and morning hours
over the higher passes.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
