gusts up to 50 kt and waves 4 to 7 ft expected. For the Heavy
Freezing Spray Warning, heavy freezing spray at a rate of 2 cm

could capsize or damage vessels. Below normal water levels
will result in hazardous navigating conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should prepare for dangerous accumulation of ice on
their vessel. If possible, remain in port, avoid the warning area
or conduct mitigation.

Mariners should remain in port, alter course, and/or secure the

...BURSTS OF SNOW EARLY THIS MORNING...

Snow showers or even a snow squall will move across many areas
early this morning. These snow showers or snow squall will
quickly reduce the visibility to one mile or less and produce a
quick coating of snow. In addition, wind gusts 30 to 40 mph will
blow the snow around adding to the reduced visibility. Untreated
surfaces will quickly become slippery. Use extra caution while
driving and leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicles
in front of you.

Snow continues to move through portions of the region. It is
light to locally moderate, and most steady across Southern

While mostly light, the snow will likely lead to some minor
accumulations of mostly less than an inch over the next few
hours. Visibilities will also be reduced to near 1 to 3 miles
within the snow at times with occasional reductions in visibility
to near 1/2 mile. Slippery conditions can be expected where any
snow sticks to the surface.

Motorists should proceed with extra caution and drive extra
carefully, allowing for more spacing between vehicles.
