Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon
and early this evening, with damaging wind gusts as the main threat.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Very hot conditions are expected later next week, with heat indices
of 105 to 110 possible.

Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through
central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

An isolated severe thunderstorm or two is possible from near
Fredericksburg to southern Maryland this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

There is a significant heat risk the second half of next week.
Air temperatures of 95 to 100 combined with increasing humidity
may result in heat index values of 105 to 110 each afternoon
Wednesday through next Friday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time, but any reports
of wind damage or rainfall measurements would be appreciated.

Damaging wind gusts are the primary threat.

There is a significant heat risk the second half of next week.
Air temperatures of 95 to 100 combined with increasing humidity
may result in heat index values of 100 to 110 each afternoon
