...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 PM EDT
FOR CENTRAL CAMDEN...CENTRAL GLOUCESTER AND WEST CENTRAL BURLINGTON
COUNTIES...

At 331 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Turnersville,
or 7 miles southeast of Gloucester City, moving southeast at 20 mph.
At 304 PM EDT, a 56 mph wind gust was measured at the Philadelphia
International Airport.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs,
         siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Gloucester City, Cherry Hill, Deptford, Voorhees, Glassboro,
Lindenwold, Bellmawr, Woodbury, Pitman, Clayton, Berlin, Magnolia,
Westville, Woodbury Heights, Brooklawn, Chesilhurst, Sicklerville,
Barclay-Kingston, Echelon, and Ashland.

This includes the following highways...
 New Jersey Turnpike near exit 3.
 Interstate 76 in New Jersey near mile marker 0.
 Interstate 295 in New Jersey between mile markers 23 and 34.
 Atlantic City Expressway between mile markers 37 and 44.

building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM EDT THIS
EVENING FOR EAST CENTRAL CHESTER, NORTHEASTERN DELAWARE,
SOUTHEASTERN MONTGOMERY AND PHILADELPHIA COUNTIES...

At 331 PM EDT, emergency management reported flash flooding
occurring in Lower Merion. Between 1.0 and 2.0 inches of rain have
fallen, and it fell in about 30 minutes. Although the heaviest
rainfall has moved east, flooding continues. There are reports of
water assists and rescues. Do not drive through flooded roadways.
Additional thunderstorms are possible this afternoon.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
         drainage and low lying areas.

Some locations that may experience flash flooding include...
  Philadelphia, Camden, Norristown, Phoenixville, West Norriton,
  East Norriton, Yeadon, Conshohocken, Folcroft, Narberth, National
  Park and East Lansdowne.

People attending Lemon Hill should seek shelter immediately.

  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
  has fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 3 inches in 1
  hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  possible.
