following areas, Beaver, Cimarron and Texas and the Panhandle of
Texas, including the following areas, Armstrong, Carson,
Collingsworth, Dallam, Deaf Smith, Donley, Gray, Hansford,
Hartley, Hemphill, Hutchinson, Lipscomb, Moore, Ochiltree, Oldham,
Palo Duro Canyon, Potter, Randall, Roberts, Sherman and Wheeler.
* WHEN...Through late Saturday night.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
counties, Brown, Callahan, Coke, Coleman, Concho, Crockett,
Fisher, Haskell, Irion, Jones, McCulloch, Menard, Nolan, Runnels,
San Saba, Schleicher, Shackelford, Sterling, Taylor, Throckmorton
and Tom Green.
* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A weak cold front sagging across the Texas South Plains and
Red River Valley will trigger thunderstorms across the Big
Country as early as Saturday afternoon, with the storms
expanding southward into the Concho Valley and Heartland
Saturday night into Sunday morning.
These storms will produce very heavy rainfall once again,
with many areas seeing rainfall totals of 2 to 5 inches
Saturday Night and Sunday. Isolated totals over 8 inches are
possible. With soils already saturated, this will quickly
lead to flash flooding.

conditions favor efficient rainfall producing storms.

flooding.

There is a Marginal risk for severe thunderstorms on Saturday and

DISCUSSION...
A slight chance of storms exists across parts of northeast
Oklahoma this afternoon into mid evening with a limited severe
potential mainly northwest of Interstate 44. Locally strong winds
and a heavy rain threat are capable within any storm development.
This activity should weaken with the loss of daytime heating.
Additional storm chances increase across northeast Oklahoma and
far northwest Arkansas overnight tonight into Saturday morning as
a frontal boundary nears the Oklahoma Kansas border. Ample
amounts of moisture in place will allow for a heavy rain threat
and an increase in flash flood potentials. A Flood Watch is in
effect from Midnight to early afternoon Saturday for much of
northeast Oklahoma. Severe potentials this evening are forecast to
weaken overnight tonight.
Ahead of the approaching front this afternoon, south to
southwesterly winds gusting 15 to around 25 mph will continue
across the region and then weaken this evening. Also, heat index
values of mid 90s to around 103 degrees will remain forecast into
this evening.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast across eastern
Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas Saturday into Sunday as the
boundary remains in the region. A limited severe threat as well
as a continued heavy rain and flood threat exists both Saturday
and Sunday. Rainfall amount of 1 to 3 inches with locally higher
amounts exceeding 4 inches are forecast through Sunday night.
An active weather pattern will persist into next week with
continued daily thunderstorm chances. A limited severe weather
