Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is
exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing
temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to
drip slowly.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.
In extremely cold conditions, battery power drops. Gasoline and
diesel vehicles take more battery power to start, and electric
vehicle driving range is reduced. Your vehicle may struggle to start
in these conditions, especially if it is stored outdoors. For
electric vehicles, range may be drastically reduced in these extreme
conditions. Extra charging stops may be needed during trips.
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

temperatures. An extended period of freezing temperatures could
cause ruptured water pipes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will be perpendicular to Highway 61
increasing the threat for high profile vehicle rollovers.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO
6 PM CST SATURDAY...
...EXTREME COLD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM SATURDAY TO NOON
CST TUESDAY...
* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with
gusts up to 50 mph expected. For the Cold Weather Advisory, very
cold wind chills as low as 33 below zero expected. For the Extreme

dangerously cold wind chills as low as 45 below zero could cause
frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. Frostbite
and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these
temperatures. An extended period of freezing temperatures could
cause ruptured water pipes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will be perpendicular to Highway 61
increasing the threat for high profile vehicle rollovers.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must

unfrozen water.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
