Organized thunderstorms will continue to move near the general
U.S. Highway 30 corridor into northwest Illinois through mid to
late afternoon and maintain at least an isolated severe wind,
hail, and flash flood threat.
Heat index values over 100 degrees will continue south of
Interstate 80 through sunset.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY
A dangerous combination of hot and very humid conditions will
continue through at least the first half of this work week and
potentially longer. Peak heat index values between 100 and 110
degrees are likely, along with very warm nighttime lows.

may continue through the end of the week.
