...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT...

The officials at the Indiana Department of Environmental Management
have declared an Air Quality Action Day, IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT
EDT TONIGHT.

An Air Quality Action Day for Ozone has been issued. Ozone levels
are expected to be in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range.
Active children and adults, and people with respiratory disease,
such as asthma should limit prolonged outdoor exposure.

Here are some recommended actions that the public can take:

 * Walk, bike, carpool or use public transportation.
 * Avoid using the drive-through and combine errands into one trip.
 * Avoid refueling your vehicle or using gasoline-powered lawn
equipment until after 7pm.
 * Turn off your engine when idling for more than 30 seconds.
 * Conserve energy by turning off lights or setting the air
conditioner to 75 degrees or above.

There is a low chance for thunderstorms Sunday into Tuesday.

This hazardous weather outlook is for central Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Temperatures near 90 degrees will provide relative humidity values
as low as 25 to 35 percent this afternoon...which will combine with
dry ground conditions to promote a marginal elevated fire weather
threat...although light winds will mitigate this threat.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

A marginal elevated fire weather threat will continue during
afternoon hours on both Friday and Saturday.

Widely scattered showers Sunday through Wednesday...may include a
few thunderstorms. Lightning is a threat in any storm.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated.
