This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois and west
central Illinois.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Smoke from Canadian wildfires has spread into the Midwest. Some may
be drawn to the surface to degrade air quality to levels that may
affect those unusually sensitive to particle pollution.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected late Tuesday afternoon through
Friday. There is a Marginal to Slight Risk of severe storms Tuesday
evening into Tuesday night, with damaging winds and hail the primary
risk. An isolated tornado is also possible. The risk for severe
weather is more uncertain the rest of the week. Periods of heavy
rain are possible, especially Tuesday night through Thursday.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Smoke aloft from Canadian wildfires will remain over the area
today. Some of the smoke may mix down to the surface and lead to
minor reductions in air quality.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

Occasional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are likely Tuesday
and Tuesday night. The Storm Prediction Center has a Slight Risk
(level 2 of 5) for severe storms across the outlook area, with
the main threat being isolated damaging winds. An increasingly
humid air mass will support heavy rainfall amounts of 1 to 2
inches, and isolated higher amounts are possible.

The pattern remains active for late in the week with periods of
showers and thunderstorms possible from Thursday afternoon into
Friday. Severe weather is not anticipated at this time.

Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Patchy fog is possible this morning mainly across portions of
southeast Missouri and western Kentucky.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Daily thunderstorm chances return to the entire region next
Wednesday. The overall pattern does not appear especially favorable
for widespread severe weather, but periods of heavy rain from
thunderstorms are likely.
