This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop over the
mountains this afternoon with isolated storms pushing off into the
adjacent plains this evening. The main risk with thunderstorms
will be gusty outflow winds up to 50 mph and spotty moderate to
heavy rainfall. This rainfall will be capable of producing
localized flash flooding if they directly impact the newer burn
scars.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Scattered to numerous afternoon and evening showers and
thunderstorms can be expected for Wednesday through Friday with
the focus gradually shifting eastward into the southeast plains
by Friday. Erratic wind gusts up to 50 mph, small hail, and
locally heavy rainfall will be possible with thunderstorms on
Wednesday, while a few strong to severe thunderstorms will be
possible across the southeast plains Thursday and possibly
Friday. Hail up to 1.5 inches in diameter and wind gusts 60 mph or
more will be possible with severe thunderstorms across the
southeast plains. If a stronger storm directly impacts the burn
scars any of these days, localized flash flooding and ash flows
will be possible.

It heats up and dries out over the weekend then thunderstorm
chances increase again early next week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.
