* WHAT...Snow above 10000 feet. Additional snow accumulations up to
one inch.
* WHERE...Gore and Elk Mountains/Central Mountain Valleys.
* WHEN...Until 10 AM MST this morning.
* IMPACTS...Higher elevations along I-70 heading up to Vail Pass
remain slick and snow covered. Snow will likely continue over the
next couple hours, so plan on slippery road conditions and poor
visibility.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road

morning. Conditions will improve late this morning into the early
afternoon.

Nebraska...south central Wyoming and southeast Wyoming.

Light snow will end early this morning but cold temperatures and
gusty winds will continue through the afternoon. Afternoon wind
chill temperatures in the single digits are expected.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY
Active long term forecast expected with multiple troughs moving
through and promoting snow chances, as well as a high wind event
possible Tuesday.
Temperatures will remain very cold through mid-week, before a
weak warming trend arrives Wednesday onwards.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Colorado, southwest
Colorado, west central Colorado, east central Utah, northeast Utah
and southeast Utah.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Wintry conditions will wind down this morning, with scattered
flurries along the Continental Divide into mid-day. Additional snow
accumulations will be negligible. Cooler temperatures settle across
the region tonight as skies clear and mountain basins drop into the
low teens and isolated single digits near fresh snowpack.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
Mountain snow returns to most of our mountain passes on Sunday and
into Monday morning. This is expected to pose some travel hazards on
mountain roadways across the West Slope. Additional snow returns
midweek. Model guidance is still inconsistent on amounts and impacts.
Temperatures remain on the cool side of climatology through the
period.

spotters are encouraged to report snowfall amounts to the

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight
Snow will impact the mountains late this evening through Saturday
morning with 3 to 6 inches of accumulation expected, resulting in
hazardous travel conditions for most mountain passes. Very light
accumulations under an inch will be possible for the urban
corridor as well overnight as the cold front moves through the
area.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday
A second round of snow is expected for the mountains Sunday, with
light snow possibly spreading onto the plains late in the day.
