* IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are expected within lake effect
snow bands and will make travel treacherous and potentially
life- threatening. The hazardous conditions will impact the
Thanksgiving holiday travel.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snow has set up south of I- 90
in Erie County into northern Crawford County this afternoon,
with snow expected to push south into more of Crawford County
into tonight. Peak snow rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour within
snow bands are expected through tonight.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
