A low pressure system will move through the area Wednesday. Morning
snow will change to an elevation based rain/snow mix in the
afternoon and evening as warmer air works its way into the area from
the south. Higher elevations east of I-81 could see a few inches of
snow. This may cause slick roadways and low visibility. On Thursday,
lake effect snow showers are expected to develop with scattered snow
squalls possible. Monitor the forecast for updates.

A band of lake effect snow will likely produce a few inches of
accumulation northeast of Lake Erie across the Niagara Frontier late
this afternoon and through the evening. Roads will become snow
covered.

late Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. Temperatures will warm
