For the Nueces River...including Cotulla, Tilden, Three Rivers...
Major flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL WEDNESDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Nueces River at Cotulla.

* WHEN...Until Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Major and massive lowland flooding occurs.
  Evacuations of livestock and a few residential properties along the
  river required. Many roads near the river will flood, including FM
  3408 from I-35, Valley Wells Road, the frontage road near mile
  marker 67. Flooding also occurs on Dobie Road including in and
  around Highway 624. FM 624 also floods south of Highway 97 toward
  Fowlerton.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 19.0 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
    at 700 PM CDT Sun Jul 26 2026 was 20.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early
    Wednesday morning and continue falling to 11.9 feet Friday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.9
    feet on 06/29/1997.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING UNTIL FURTHER
NOTICE...

* WHAT...Major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Nueces River near Three Rivers.

* WHEN...From Wednesday morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 40.0 feet, Significant flooding reaches miles from the
  main channel, flooding homes in the flood plain near Three Rivers
  to Lake Corpus Christi. Up to 4 feet of water is in River Creek
  Acres Subdivision, flooding several homes. Kellner Camp along
  County Road 336 floods, with water several feet deep surrounding
  homes. Antelope Lane is flooded cutting off access to J.I. Hailey
  Subdivision at Jones River bend. Water approaches the base of homes
  along the river in Buckeye Knoll Subdivision, 2 miles west of
  Swinny Switch.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:15 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 5.3 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Wednesday morning and continue rising to 40.4 feet early Friday
    afternoon. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
  - Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 40.6
    feet on 07/11/2007.

    evening.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 23.1
    feet on 09/18/2002.
