Warning for lightning, which is in effect from noon today to
11 PM AKDT this evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...Upper Koyukuk Valley and Dalton Highway
  Summits.

* TIMING...From noon today to 11 PM AKDT this evening.

* THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE INDEX...Scattered.

* WINDS...South 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
  Outflow wind gusts 35 to as high as 50 mph.

* HUMIDITY...30 to 40 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Highs around 80. Lows in the mid 40s.

* IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected due to
  thunderstorms. Thunderstorms will come with frequent lightning
  and outflow boundaries. Any lightning can cause new ignitions
  since the fuels are dry and burnable.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

...Water Levels Rise 1 to 3 Feet This Week...

Weak south to southwesterly wind will result in minor sea level
rises. Expect rises of 1 to 3 feet above the normal high tide
line with each high tide cycle from Sunday to Tuesday. Winds will
be around 15 to 25 mph from the south/southwest tonight, 10 to 20
mph through Monday, then weaken and shift northerly on Tuesday.

The highest water levels, up to 3 feet above the high tide line,
are expected in Eastern Norton Sound while the Yukon Delta and
Nome Coast are expected to be around 1 to 2 feet.

Significant impacts are not expected but those with belongings on
the beach may want to bring them further away from the water as a
precaution.

...Gusty Wind and Isolated Power Outages This Weekend...

South winds will increase from 12PM to 10PM Saturday with gusts
to around 40 mph. The recent heavy rain has loosened soil and root
systems making the trees more susceptible to falling. Wind gusts
up to 40 mph can result in downed trees and isolated power
outages during this time.

If you see downed trees or power lines, please notify authorities
and do not approach them as it can be hazardous.
