* AFFECTED AREA...Middle Yukon Valley, Lower Yukon and Innoko
  Valleys, North Slopes of the Western Alaska Range and Upper
  Kuskokwim Valley.

* TIMING...Until 10 PM AKDT Sunday.

* THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE INDEX...Scattered.

* WINDS...Near thunderstorms, gusts could reach as high as 40
  mph.

* HUMIDITY...As low as 25 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Highs in the mid 80s. Lows in the upper 40s.

* IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected this
  weekend due to a combination of thunderstorm activity,
  temperatures reaching into the upper 70s to low 80s, relative
  humidities near 25 percent, and gusty winds.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that conditions are occurring or will
occur which could lead to the development of large and dangerous
fires. It is directed toward fire agencies, and through them, to
the public.

* WHAT...Hot temperatures as high as 85 expected to continue.

* WHERE...Yukon Flats.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM AKDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Individuals not accustomed to these hot temperatures may
  experience heat related illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids and check up on elderly and vulnerable
relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when working in the sun. Wear sunscreen and
lightweight, loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous
activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see
symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Close curtains during the daytime to reduce sun insolation into the
home and open windows at night to allow the home to cool off.
Utilize fans or community buildings with air conditioning.

...Hot Temperatures continue across the Interior through Sunday...

Saturday afternoon hot temperatures continue to impact most of the
Central and Eastern Interior, with high temperatures climbing back
into the 80s. Take caution when participating in outdoor
activities. Stay hydrated and limit strenuous outdoor activity in
the afternoon when temperatures are the highest.
