...Light Wintry Mix Today Becomes Snow Showers Tonight...

A light wintry mix of wet snow, fog, and mist transitions to snow
showers and blustery southwest winds behind a cold front late
tonight. Near gale-force southwesterly winds behind this front
may push water through cracks in the ice, flooding shorefast ice
by Wednesday morning.

- Additional snow accumulations of 1-3 inches and a light glaze
of ice are expected by Wednesday morning with little
accumulation afterwards. Locally higher snow amounts up to 5
inches are possible at the highest elevations of the Nulato
  Hills.
- Colder temperatures on Wednesday will freeze wet or slushy
surfaces lingering from the ongoing wintry mix.

...Snowfall Continues Tonight, With More Snow Through Thursday
Across the Southern Interior and Higher Elevation Interior
Summits...

Snow will continue this morning and into the afternoon and evening
hours. Lower elevation valley locations will rise into the upper
30s Tuesday and Wednesday during the day, with temps falling back
below freezing at night. Snowfall accumulations will come and go
all the way through Thursday as a front remains draped over the
region. In addition, gusty southwest winds to 30 mph may cause
minor blowing snow, with more widespread blowing snow over the
highway summits. Heavier accumulating snow is expected tonight
into Tuesday, with yet another round of accumulating snowfall
Wednesday into Wednesday night. Some valleys will see a mix of
rain and snow in the afternoon periods as snow levels rise to 700
feet.

Expect:
- Snow will continue into Tuesday with temps rising to above
freezing. Slick roadways due to potentially snow covered roads,
with partial melting in the daytime periods.

- Gusty southwest winds up to 30 mph develop tonight and may cause
minor blowing snow, with more widespread blowing snow over the
  highway summits above 1500 feet.

- Heavier accumulating wet snow of 1 to 3 inches is expected
through the day on Tuesday, with yet another round of
accumulating snowfall Wednesday. Some Southern Interior valleys
will see a mix of rain and snow in the afternoon periods as snow
  levels rise to 700 feet.
