June is a HOT One!!! |
June brought the heat, both locally and nationally. As the below graph displays, temperatures through much of June were well above average. The average high temperature for the entire month of June in Lubbock was 93.9 degrees, which was 3.9 degrees above the normal. The average low for the month was 68.0 degrees, which was also 3.9 degrees above normal. This resulted in an average temperature for the entire month of 81.0 degrees. This ranked June as the 6th hottest on record for Lubbock, though the mercury only eclipsed the 100 degree mark twice. |
