High Winds sweep across West Texas
Nov 14 and 15, 2006

An intensifying storm system moved across the southern plains Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov 14 and 15th, 2006. This storm system brought thunderstorms to Oklahoma and Arkansas, with rain changing over to snow across Nebraska and Kansas. In West Texas, the storm system brought the wind. The system was accompanied by a strong cold front which swept south through the Panhandle and South Plains Tuesday night. The map below shows the distribution of the wind gusts across the region.
