WIDEPSREAD STORM SURGE FLOODING IN SOUTH TERREBONNE PARISH. LOCAL
DRAINAGE LEVEES WERE OVERTOPPED AND OR BREACHED IN SOUTHERN PORTIONS
OF PARISHE. ON 09/19/2008 PARISH OFFICIALS REVISED THEIR DAMAGE
ESTIMATES - WITH 2500 HOMES FLOODED OUT OF THE 15000 HOMES IN THE
AFFECTED AREA.

LAFOURCHE

APPROXIMATELY 24 STRUCTURES WERE FLOODED BY STORM SURGE.

ST. JOHN BAPTIST

APRROXIMATELY 50 STRUCTURES WERE FLOODED BY STORM SURGE FLOODING
FROM LAKE PONTCHARTRAIN.

ST. TAMMANY

APPROXIMATELY 200 STRUCTURES HAD FLOOD DAMAGE ALONG LAKE
PONTCHARTRAIN FROM SLIDELL TO MANDEVILLE AND MADISONVILLE.

ST. BERNARD

TWO HOMES AND TWENTY MOBILE HOMES WERE FLOODED BY STORM SURGE

TANGIPAHOA

APPROXIMATELY 60 HOUSES AND FOUR BUSINESSES WERE FLOODED IN THE
EXTREME SOUTH PORTION OF THE PARISH NEAR LAKE PONTCHARTRAIN.

JEFFERSON

APPROXIMATELY 2500 STRUCTURES WERE FLOODED IN THE SOUTHREN PART OF
THE PARISH FROM LAFITTE AND CROWN POINT TO GRAND ISLE.
