A strong cold front is expected to sweep across the region Saturday night, bringing the coldest air of this fall by far to much of North and Central Texas. Outside of urbanized areas, the season's first freeze is appearing increasingly likely Sunday night into Monday morning, with localized areas dipping down into the upper 20s, particularly in the Big Country. Gusty north winds will also be brought into the area behind the cold front, with gusts as high as 35 mph Sunday afternoon.

A strong cold front will bring below average temperatures and the season's first freeze to many across North and Central Texas. The coldest morning will be on Monday, where low temperatures will range from the mid 30s in urban areas to the upper 20s near Texoma and in the Big Country. Be sure to bundle up, be mindful of plants and pets outdoors, and stay warm with the arrival of chilly late fall air!
