THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BROWNSVILLE HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
CENTRAL ZAPATA COUNTY IN DEEP SOUTH TEXAS.

* UNTIL 100 PM CDT

What type of warning is it, who is it for, when does it expire and where did it come from?

The * is there to help software, such as at TV and radio stations read the warning automatically.

Also warnings can be re-issued after they expire, so just because it's 1:00 p.m. doesn't always mean the threat is over!
